Keyboardist: Emsy Chan

A few days ago, over at Gossip Gurl, I posted a picture of the lovely Emsy Chan dressed in a Star Trek uniform. Today, I'm going to focus on Emsy's musical talents.

Emsy plays keyboards! Check out this video, which includes Emsy crossplaying a character (Nami) who is not familiar to me:



In another great video, Emsy plays the Star Trek opening theme. Here are two addition pics so you can get an idea of how she might fit into the Cover Gurlz.

Singer: Denise Russell

Denise Russell mostly sings country songs, including many Patsy Cline hits. This video includes several tunes:

Diva: Artem Semenov

Artem Semenov is a Ukranian singer (mostly opera, apparently) who nearly won his country's Got Talent television program. You can easily find numerous videos on youtube, including a few that are pop music, not opera.

In this one, Artem flashes some leg:

Buffalo Girls

Buffalo Girls are Silver Summers , Baga Chipz Mbe and Lady Lloyd.

In this video, they cover Blondie -- and I think they are fabulous.

Guitarist & Vocalist: Yohio

Yohio is a young Swede who is becoming a Japanese pop star -- by design. One journalist described Yohio as a performer who "dresses like Lolita, and plays guitar like Hendrix." In the band Seremedy, Yohio is the primary guitarist. But as a solo artist, multi-talented Yohio both plays guitar and sings.

In one new video, Yohio sings in English, so look for this talented performer on your televisions soon.

Epiphany is a talented singer with some comic talent as well. In this video, she proves she can sing a sultry song:

Meet UK beauty Princess Jordan (aka Anthony Berry):

 

About 5 years ago, this lovely and talented performer appeared on an episode of "Coronation Street," which is supposedly the longest-running soap opera in the UK. Here are some clips from that guest appearance (she sings a bit too):

Singer: Boris April

I don't know much about Boris April. The Ukranian is a "model-singer" and has been perfecting an androgynous look for some time. Jaye Kaye has a number of great photos on her tumblr.

This video will give you an idea of April's prospects for achieving a feminine voice -- and image.

Keyboards: Van Burnham

Van Burnham (or Vanna?) is a beautiful young gurl with a delightful southern accent. I love it! She sometimes wears 'Ole Miss attire because she went to school at University of Mississippi.

Though better known as a model, Burnham has posted several videos on youtube playing keyboards, including this one:



She often plays her own compositions. In this video, she plays a funky bass line that suggests she could adapt her style and fit into The Cover Gurlz:
