Moulin Dudes

In Shreveport, a group of four gurlz is playing girl-group cover songs under the name Moulin Dudes.

Here's one of their videos. Turn it up a bit, the sound isn't great.



I'd like the gurlz more if they'd embrace their femme image a bit more -- shave or hide some of the hair, improve the makeup and hair, and maybe try some fashion heels.

Bass player: H.J. Freaks

H.J. Freaks has posted a lot of videos to her youtube channel. She's a bass player (from Korea, apparently) -- and seems to have the music production skills that would make it possible to bring the Cover Gurlz into (virtual) reality.

I posted about technical needs on Gossip Gurl this past week.

H.J. Freaks isn't wearing much clothing in that video, but she wears a variety of outfits in her others, which show her playing bass solo:

Keyboards: Jessy Fanto

Jessy Fanto is an attractive young gurl who plays keyboards in a number of her videos -- or at least I think she does. Check out her youtube channel for an idea of why I'm a little uncertain. She includes music with a lot of her videos, and lip-synchs to them, so I'm not actually 100% sure she's playing. Based on a couple of fairly quiet and intimate videos, however, I think she can play.



She definitely has the look of a Cover Gurl. She has lots of photos on her Facebook page, most are screen captures from videos.

Guitarist: Myra

Young Myra lives in Chicago, attends community college in a distant suburb, and features several videos of herself playing the guitar on her youtube channel. In this one, she's standing as a performer would on stage -- though she's just wearing some lingerie:



In another video, she wears a real rock-and-roll cap.

I don't know if she's on Facebook, Flickr, or somewhere else that might feature photos.

Drummer: Luisa

I think the Cover Gurlz may have found a new drummer: Luisa. She's Italian and has her own channel on youtube.



Don't worry that you cannot see her face or upper body in this video -- as her other videos make clear, she's an attractive potential Cover Gurl. In this video, for example, she's a pretty blonde, wearing a red dress and dancing.

Singer: Toni Gnosis

I don't know much about Toni Gnosis, other than that she's a Texan, has appeared as Hedwig, and is prepping a band called the Black Leather Banshees. While Toni "retired" in 2007, she is apparently posed to make a comeback.

I'd like to find some feminine vocal tracks. Help?

Singer-Saxaphonist: Willam Belli

Willam definitely has the look of a Cover Gurl.

Two-spirit Jaylene Tyme sings live in Vancouver.

Lala McCallan was a finalist on "Italia's Got Talent" 2011. Here she is singing "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend."

Sometimes Jessica has a youtube page with many videos -- but this one is unique:



In other videos, Sometimes Jessica dances, or dresses like a rocker chick, or simply holds her guitar.

Perfect candidate for the Cover Gurlz.

I cannot find much information about this talented and beautiful young singer.

JohnnyBoyXO is a young pop singer from Philadelphia with a large following on youtube. In this "behind the scenes" video, you can get an idea of her look and her music. JB has uploaded several song videos, but the others include only still photos. I like her other songs better than this one, but wanted to post images with audio. At the end of the year, I'll post her cover of "Santa Baby."



Here's a casual photo from Flickr, though this potential Cover Gurl has an extensive collection of pics on Facebook. She looks more like a sexy pop diva in many of them.

Singer: Miss Sugar

Potential Cover Gurl Miss Sugar is a UK singer from Lancashire who "belts out classic songs by Petula Clark, Dusty Springfield, Abba, Tina Turner and Cher." In this video, Miss Sugar sings "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" live:
